I received these cards as a gift. A friend knows that I collect cards and, since I have been ill for a while (and recently been upset), she thought they might "be a bit of fun" and cheer me up.
They come in a strong box decorated in a similar manner to the cards themselves.
The cards are made of a reasonably strong card with a laminated feel. They are 12.7cm (H) and 8.9 cm (W) making them twice the size of an ordinary pack of playing cards. This size has the unfortunate effect of making them very hard to shuffle if you have smallish hands. The "lamination" also caused a degree of sticking when attempting to shuffle the pack.
The pictorial images on the cards vary from renaissance type prints to ones with a more modern feel. They are, each in turn, quite beautiful and some of them remind me of the great paintings (so much so that I wonder if they have been cropped from the paintings themselves).
The set comes with an instruction guide on how to use the cards and what each card means.
I must declare that I am a total sceptic regarding things like this, and my sceptic mind just won't believe that these cards are anything other than an item which is designed in a vague enough way to be read the way you want to read them BUT, I look at it this way, if they make you feel better (and you are not trying to influence others) then there is no harm and no foul.
These are beautiful cards, a pleasure to look at and will not look out of place in my collection.

While I do like this deck, I much prefer working with the Messages From the Angels deck, as I feel that I get more detail from that one. I have found that the other deck has been very accurate in providing information, and am using it to guide me frequently in my decisions. I am now using both decks, but use this one more for meditative thought and the other for readings.

Very beautiful pictures and a helpful little book is included for beginners. The angels are beautiful and this deck works as a sort of "theraputic" tool for those that need spiritual guidance and comfort. It deals with such things as, "forgiveness" "Surrender and release" "Freedom" among other things.
It has proven to be quite accurate for me, and I would recommend this deck to anyone who is beginning to work with oracle cards or someone who needs some spiritual help from these heavenly advisors.

I bought this deck in 2002 when I swore I would only buy one deck. Over 30 decks and 7 years later, and this one remains a steadfast favorite. I love the old fashioned artwork. The messages are uplifting. You can tell Doreen Virtue put a lot of love and hard work in this deck because I feel it when I hold them or look at it.
This deck has only archangel, Michael, but whenever I get the card, I feel they are trying to say all of the archangels are here with you. Again using your intuition is key for all these decks. Virtue explains how to use the deck and the significance of the jumping cards. This was my introduction to how important signs were in my life.
I recommend this deck wholeheartedly to anyone who loves angels or feels a connection to their higher self. You will feel very connected with this deck.
