Oh La La May 29, 2002 I had always wondered whether, as Rondo Veneziano got "older", whether the quality of their original works would decline. Well, after listening to Zodiaco, I am happy to say that my fears have been unfounded. Zodiaco is, in this keen listener's opinion, one of Rondo's top three CD's ever - comparable only to the original "Rondo Veneziano" and the CD Import "The Best of - Volume 1". Track 2 on Zodiaco is almost unbearably beautiful, and has become my all-time RV classic. The other tracks, including the title track, are also extremely good, and anyone could listen to this wonderful music for hours. Bravo RV and Maestro Reverberi for maintaining such an incredible standard over all these years.

the glorious sound of Rondo Veneziano... Feb 26, 2002 Received this disc a few weeks ago and cannot stop listening to it! It is most delightful and very infectious! Rondo Veneziano's sound is 2nd to none. A musical interpretation of the Zodiac but the music is so good you don't need to know it was inspired by star signs. Among the greatest of instrumental groups of all time, Rondo Veneziano has achieved the perfect blend of pop and classical styles.

The Zodiac Rondo Veneziano Mar 16, 2001 I have listened to Rondo Veneziano since the mid-80s, and it continues to enchant me. I'm so glad that I can get these CDs now in the US. I am one of their biggest fans, and this latest album has become a favorite. I have gotten copies for many of my friends and family for birthdays, holidays, etc. It is an ideal gift!
Companion for a desert island Dec 13, 2000 As a child we played Desert Island Castaways on rainy days when there was nothing to do. And we'd have to name 10 albums or books we'd take with us to a desert island and defend our choices. Pretty good test for a 7-year -old. I revived the game recently (40 years later) and this time, The Zodiac was on my list (along with Sailing to Philadelphia). This is music with all of life in one CD. It has allowed me to create at my best, and is a source of strength when times are not when they seem. My greatest joy is that I have had the privilege of seeing these musicians every year when I go to Venice. TO see them in their own setting is transporting. And to think of how few people have heard of them here in the US. Vivaldi would be pleased! I know you will be too. (Try the game, by the way...you can spend hours, have a great time and then, regroup with all the records and have an even better time.)
